Occasionally dogs come to BHNW with end-stage health issues or very late in their senior years. Although our goal is to place dogs in adoptive homes there are times when dogs are too far along in life or diagnosed with a terminal illness and it is not in their best interest to be moved again. In these cases we want to keep them comfortable, their care stable, and under the BHNW umbrella for their lifetime. These dogs live their lives out in the homes of dedicated BHNW volunteers who know the gift they are giving is priceless.
